TT Boost – Classics in a new coat

"This year, the flagship of transfer education, the easy and fast Transfer course, has undergone a number of modifications and changes. We have restructured, reworked and expanded the topics," explained Martin Smekal, head of CeTTAV, at the beginning.

Year 2023

An interactive format, a new methodology, interesting guests for each course and a number of inspirations from abroad – this is how one could describe in a nutshell the new edition of the TT Boost transfer education course, the Transfer Agent Easy and Fast course.

10 participants from 8 institutes of the CAS will go through the transfer alphabet in five 2-day modules. Lectures will be given by experts from practice and members of the CeTTAV team. The programme is part of the transfer training organised by CeTTAV (Centre for Technology Transfer of the CAS) for all employees of the CAS starting out in transfer who want to quickly orient themselves in the TZT environment.

The first module was opened by Martin Smekal. In his session, he introduced transfer as a complex field and recalled its bright and shady sides. “It is clear that the participants in this year’s course are highly motivated and interested in the transfer. They are interested in acquiring new professional knowledge, but also in establishing contacts and sharing experiences with colleagues from other and different workplaces,” summarized Martin Smekal.

Michal Beluský, lawyer at CeTTAV, discussed the results of the research, types of intellectual property and how to protect them, as well as the importance of TRL, i.e. the maturity of the results.

The final block, introduced by Jakub Hruška, was also very well received. He focused on recording research results, market research and tools that can help transfer workers.

“The most important thing is that participants can see the transfer up close, so to speak, and talk about it both with the trainers and with colleagues from other departments of the CAS. In addition to the key information, the course will highlight a number of transfer-related topics they might not have thought of.” added Jakub Hruška.

“I like attentive listeners. The feedback of the participants is very valuable for me personally, so that next time I will not be bored and my lecture will be useful and interesting for the participants. Already from the first meeting I can say that this is a “strong year”. They communicate, they ask, they are interested. From the first hour of training. What more could a trainer ask for. I’m already looking forward to spending another hour with them,” commented Jakub Hruška.

A great cocktail of experience and examples of good practice in transfer was mixed by the guest of the first module Martin Fusek. He also gave the audience an insight into how projects are selected within the internal Focused Research Groups. His performance received a deserved response.

Invitation to the second module

In the second module, which will take place in mid-June, participants will meet Kateřina Peřinová, our IP specialist, and other internal guests from CeTTAV. They will be complemented by guests Hana Churáčková, Head of the Department of the Institute of Industrial and Legal Education of the Institute of Industrial and Legal Education of the Czech Republic. Participants will learn about the latest trends in the world of search, preparation and filing of applications for trademarks, industrial designs, patents or utility models (national, international or regional). Vojtěch Chloupek, partner at the international law firm Bird&Bird, will explain the enforcement of intellectual property rights. There will also be a choice of the optimal industrial protection strategy with regard to the scope and costs involved. The next module will take place 15. June 16th. for more information contact Barbara Jedličková from CeTTAV.
