Transfer Portal CAS

Connecting business with science

We know our Pappenheimers or the new line-up at the head of Transfer.cz

The positions at the head of the organization representing the interests of the transfer community were defended by experienced matadors supplemented by several new faces. The members of Transfera.cz met on 21 March at the Hybernská Campus for a membership meeting, where a new board of directors was elected to manage the association for the next four years. That this will not be without changes in activity was indicated by the comments of some of the newly elected. At the same time, Transfera.cz elected its Supervisory Board and approved the reports on activities and management for 2022 and the plan of activities for 2023.

CeTTAV candidate elected

We also had our hand in the fire. Martin Smekal, the head of CeTTAV, ran for the board of directors of Transfera.cz. This is the first time we will have a representative on the board. From Martin’s election, the transfer community of the CAS expects a substantive managerial approach and pressure to expand direct contacts with all potential partners who can use the capacities, technologies and expertise of all members of the association.

And what’s next?

The elected candidates commented on their plans for the next term.

Martin Smekal: I consider my priorities to be the full involvement of the CAS in the activities of Transfera.cz and the promotion of synergy with the transfer activities embodied in the new TZT strategy that we have adopted in the Academy. I also want to focus on developing relationships with industry and other application partners. Here I can offer my many years of experience and extensive contacts. Last but not least, I want to support the establishment and successful operation of spin-off companies.

Ruzena Stemberkova: Just as I have long sought to promote the most beautiful region and city, I want to be just as effective in building and developing the national and international transfer network, promoting and advocating transfer activities at national institutions and other potential interest platforms, working with all members of the association and supporting each other across the country.

Jaromir Zahradka: Transfera.cz should be one of the initiators of a national system of financing academic spin-off companies by means of funds and bank financing – following the example of e.g. HTGF (D), bpiFrance (F) or AWS (A). I believe that Transfera.cz, as a source of academic spin-offs, should react in this direction and start to cover this area more and become more involved in the public debate.

The national platform Transfera.cz defends the interests of the transfer community in the Czech Republic in order to strengthen and develop activities in the field of technology and knowledge transfer. It deals with state administration authorities, represents the interests of its members in the field of TT and VaVal, actively supports the transfer of technology and knowledge into practice. The society has 33 members(and 2 honorary members).
